1969 Chevrolet Camaro

While similar to the 1968 Camaro in appearance, the 1969 Camaro brought a new level of power to the automotive world. Engines were available in a wide range of performance, from a 307-ci, 200-horsepower small block to a pace car replica with a 427-ci, 525-horsepower big block.Although not the owner of the strongest engine of the year, the 1969 Camaro RS/SS 396 Indy 500 convertible pace car has become among the most collected cars of all time. Few exact replicas of the pace car were made with the 375-horsepower engines, but many replicas were made with a 350-powered, 300-horsepower engines. These machines could go from 0 to 60 in 7 seconds, and take the quarter mile in just 15.
